Tosi – the new name for the well-known Tosibox industrial connectivity solution
For many in industrial automation and remote access, Tosibox is already a well-known name. Now this same solution continues its development under a new brand – Tosi. The rebranding reflects the company’s evolution from a remote access and hardware supplier to a broader OT network connectivity, protection, and management platform.
In today’s industrial environment, remote access is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. The more devices, sites, and systems are connected to the network, the more important not only access convenience becomes, but also cybersecurity, transparency, and control. This is exactly where Tosi comes in – formerly known as Tosibox – a platform built for the OT environment for secure connectivity, remote access, and centralized network management.
Tosi is not just a remote access tool. It is a platform designed for industrial environments where continuous operation, secure access, and simple management are important. The system combines Gateway devices at sites, Keys and clients for users, Hub for centralized connectivity, and the Control management platform into a unified ecosystem.
Main benefits:
Secure access to OT networks – Tosi solutions use end-to-end encryption, built-in firewall, 1:1 NAT, as well as access control with Tosi Key or Tosi Hub.
Centralized management – with Tosi Control, it is possible to see device status, connectivity, topology, assets, and alerts in one panel.
Scalability – Tosi Hub is designed for larger networks and can support up to 1000 connected Gateway and Client nodes.
Suitable for industrial environments – Gateway devices are designed for mounting on a DIN rail, with industrial connectors and a wide operating temperature range depending on the model.
Tosi Gateway is an industrial gateway for remote access and secure OT network connectivity. It provides a connection between devices at the site and authorized users or centralized infrastructure. All models included in the comparison have a built-in firewall, 1:1 NAT, end-to-end VPN, automatic software updates, as well as Layer 2 / Layer 3 connectivity with the Tosi ecosystem.
Different models are available – from compact devices for smaller sites to more powerful solutions with Gigabit ports, LTE or 5G connectivity.

Tosi uses both physical and software keys and clients for access. These solutions make it possible to control which user is allowed to access specific devices or networks. Depending on the need, it is possible to use a USB key, a virtual key for a computer, or a mobile client for smart devices.
Tosi USB Key is a physical key that allows access to Tosi Gateway devices from the computer in which it is inserted. It can be used both as a Master key and as a user key.
Tosi SoftKey or virtual key is bound to a specific computer. Access to Tosi Gateway devices is possible only from this authorized device. If it is necessary to transfer the SoftKey to another computer, this can be done only by a Tosi Master key user or administrator.
Tosi mobile client is bound to a specific mobile device, from which the user can securely connect to the devices assigned or authorized to them. The transfer of mobile client access to another device can also be done only by a Tosi Master key user or administrator.
Overall, the Tosi access architecture is designed for secure and controlled authentication, but specific functions should always be verified in the relevant product version or datasheet. Some management functions can also be linked with Tosi Control and SSO capabilities.
Tosi Control is a cloud-based OT management platform that provides a unified environment for the entire Tosi infrastructure. It collects data from Tosi Gateway, Tosi Hub, and user access solutions, providing real-time visibility into connectivity, device status, and network events.
Main Tosi Control features:
unified management panel for the entire infrastructure;
asset and device visibility;
real-time monitoring and alerts;
network topology view;
SSO integration with Microsoft, Google, Okta, and other identity providers;
CSV export and API integrations.
In practice, this means faster problem diagnosis, less downtime, and simpler collaboration between OT/IT teams.

Tosi Hub is a software VPN concentrator designed for centralized, continuous, and scalable OT network connectivity. It aggregates and routes encrypted traffic between remote sites, users, and systems. Hub is especially useful when a company needs a centralized architecture, data sovereignty, or a large number of remote sites.
Tosi Hub can be deployed:
in the company data center;
in a VMware, Hyper-V or KVM environment;
Microsoft Azure;
Amazon AWS.
Hub supports high availability, network segmentation, audit logs, and AES 256 bit encryption.
Tosi solutions help achieve several practical business benefits:
Less downtime – remote access and real-time visibility allow faster identification and resolution of problems.
Simpler infrastructure management – the entire environment is visible from a single management point.
Better security – encrypted communication, access control, SSO, and auditing capabilities help reduce the risks of unauthorized access.
Scaling without unnecessary complexity – especially important for companies with many sites, devices, and users.
The Tosi Gateway series offers several models for different industrial needs — from compact devices for smaller sites to more powerful solutions with Gigabit ports, 4G, 5G, and Dual SIM support. The choice mainly depends on the required connectivity, VPN throughput, number of ports, and the environmental conditions in which the device will operate. The table below helps to quickly compare the main Tosi Gateway models and understand which solution is the most suitable for a specific project. Subscription is also available for all Gateway devices, and the minimum contract term is 36 months.
Model | Connectivity | VPN throughput | LAN ports | Operating temperature | Dual SIM |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

When choosing a Tosi Gateway, it is recommended to check:
whether the site requires an LTE / 4G / 5G connection;
how many LAN ports are needed;
whether Gigabit ports are required;
what the required VPN throughput is;
what the ambient temperature range is;
whether the Dual SIM function is needed for a backup mobile connection.
Tosi is a thoughtful OT connectivity and management platform for companies that need secure remote access, centralized control, and a scalable architecture. Gateway provides connectivity at sites, Tosi Control provides transparency and management, while Tosi Hub makes it possible to build a centralized infrastructure for larger or more complex networks.
