On August 8, 2016, SIA "Zinātniski Tehniskā Firma LĀSMA" has concluded an agreement No. SKV-L-2016/658 with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency for receiving support within the measure “Promotion of International Competitiveness” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The Scientific and Technical Company "LĀSMA" was founded on 27 May 1992. The company was founded by Dr.sc.ing. Jānis Kuzmins, Uģis Ivbulis, Andris Jansons.
The initial goal was to develop electronic devices for the implementation of automation in manufacturing companies.

Service - the development of non-standard process automation solutions, which in the relevant time period also meant the development and production of the corresponding electronics.
Over time, the role of research and electronics development decreased, however, the experience and knowledge gained in research allowed for the development of a strong direction of automation process design and solution development.

As in the past, LĀSMA maintains close links with RTU and other institutions where engineering can be studied. Each year, we give several students the opportunity to get an internship to learn about good working culture and world-class automation solutions.
