SICK PGT-10-Pro is a lightweight and compact portable programming device for setting SICK programmable incremental and absolute encoders. Since the device has a built-in power supply, no computer or additional software is required for operation. This makes the PGT-10-Pro especially convenient for service and maintenance work directly at the machine.
The PGT-10-Pro operates on 4 standard AA batteries, so it can also be used on sites where access to a computer or power supply is not convenient. The device has a four-line backlit display and four control buttons, which make work easier even in situations where configuration must be performed quickly.
One of the key advantages is the cloning function — it allows the settings of one encoder to be saved and copied to other encoders. This helps save time, reduce the likelihood of errors, and restore machine operation faster. Configuration files can be saved in the device’s internal memory or on an SD card.
SICK PGT-08-S is a compact USB programming tool for configuring SICK programmable encoders. It acts as a connection between the encoder and the computer, allowing parameters to be adjusted more conveniently to the specific requirements of the machine.
The PGT-08-S does not require external power — the device operates from the computer’s USB port. Configuration is carried out using the free SICK software SOPAS ET , where encoder parameters can be viewed and signal operation can be checked in real time.
The software also allows importing and exporting encoder settings in .txt or .sopas file formats. This is useful when identical settings need to be transferred to multiple devices or a configuration backup needs to be stored.
The SICK PGT-10-Pro and PGT-08-S programming devices are intended for a wide range of SICK encoders, including:
DFS60 and DFV60 incremental encoders;
AFS/AFM60 SSI absolute encoders;
AHS/AHM36 SSI compact absolute encoders;
draw-wire encoders using DFS60, AFS/AFM60 or AHS/AHM36 models.
Before ordering, it is recommended to check the specific encoder model and connection type in order to choose the correct programmer and adapter cable.
To physically connect the encoder to PGT-10-Pro or PGT-08-S , an appropriate adapter cable is required. The choice depends on which connector the specific encoder has — M12 or M23.
