At the beginning of 2021, the long-standing partner of ZTF “LĀSMA” — Timberex Group, undertook a renewal of the management of the sawing line by equipping it with Invertek Drives frequency drives.
The sawing line was equipped with:
The advantage of Invertek variable frequency drives is that it is possible to create a simplified control system using the integrated Master/Slave function provided by the Modbus protocol (see figures).
Using the integrated functions of the Invertek variable frequency drive - the 4 engines of the boarding line used to provide saws and conveyor delivery are driven from a single drive.
In this system, the potentiometer and the START/STOP button are added to the 75 kW P2-series drive,, as well as the engine parameters are defined. The 75 kW converter is used in standard operating mode and will perform the role of the Master drive in the system.
The ECO series and 55 kW P2 series converter is used in the Slave mode, each is defined in a different address in the serial communication configuration, and the starting/braking times are changed as needed, and the factor by which it is possible to change the running speed of each frequency converter proportionally to the Master drive.
