SIA “Baltic Seaberry” and SIA “ZTF Lāsma” are implementing a research project within the framework of the Latvian Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan 2.2. reform and investment direction "Digital transformation and innovations of enterprises" 2.2.1.3.i. investment "Support for the introduction of new products and services in business".
Research project name: No. DP-15 “Development of an automated electricity procurement management system and prototype testing in a real industrial environment”
Project No. 2.2.1.3.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/002
The purpose of the research project: to develop an automated electricity procurement system that aligns the dynamic consumption model of the production plant's cold stores with the ability of solar panels and charging batteries to supply the company's own renewable electricity required for production, in order to reduce the amount and costs of purchased electricity, especially during periods of high prices, thus reducing the cost of production and the risk of price fluctuations.
Planned result: Development of an automated electricity supply model that would select one of 3 alternative electricity sources (solar panels, solar battery, external network supply) provided that it provides the most economical medium-term electricity cost result, as well as ensure the necessary temperature regime in the company's warehouses, without violating product quality requirements.
Project implementation period - 01.06.2025..- 30.09.2026.
Eligible project costs – 392,762.66 EUR, Amount of support - 294,124.52 EUR
