The MOP301 oil moisture sensor impresses with its robust stainless steel housing and protection class IP66, oil-resistant cable and M12x1 connector. The sensor can be used in the temperature range from -40 to 120 °C and pressure up to 20 bar.
A variety of probe and cable lengths, as well as a slim design, allow for extremely flexible installation of the MOP301. Thanks to the practical process connection with ISO or NPT thread, the immersion depth can be precisely set. With the help of an additional ball valve, the sensor can be installed and removed without interrupting the process.
E+E Elektronik MOP301 sensor provides oil moisture content as an absolute or relative value. Water activity (aw) provides information on how close the oil is to its saturation point at a given temperature.
Water content (x) in absolute numbers indicates that the moisture level is expressed as water content (x) ppm, which is mg water/kg oil. Based on the measured water activity (aw) and temperature, the MOP301 calculates the absolute water content (x) in ppm. The oil-specific parameters required for the calculations can be pre-configured at the time of order or can be stored with the help of the PCS10 product configuration software.
The MOP301 humidity sensor is compatible with the Sigma 05 device of the E+E Elektronik modular sensor platform. Together they become a versatile, easy-to-use oil moisture and temperature sensor with the replaceable probe, analog outputs and indication display.
