Some materials and products may cause water quality, organoleptic, physico-chemical or microbiological degradations in contact with water intended for human consumption and may pose health risks to consumers. In order to ensure constant water quality, the ATMI company produces specialized products that do not affect human health.
The French switch and float manufacturing company ATMI, which has been specializing in the development and production of various types of level sensors for more than 40 years, offers more and more new products through independent development.
The novelty of 2022 is the development of AQUA XL EP, which is one of the drinking water level control floats, which are made of a special material, giving the possibility to use them for food water level control.
In the following article, we will introduce you to four drinking water level control floats.
The ACS-certified float, which stands out for its robust body and the fact that it does not require the use of weights to ensure operation, as it works on the principle of ballast.
Working angle | +/- 165° |
The permissible density of the substance | 0,95 to 1,05 |
Operating voltage | 12, 24, 48 VAC /VCC - 250 VAC /VCC 50/60 Hz |
Switch capacity | 16 (6) A (16 A resistive; 6 A inductive) |
Max pressure | 3,5 bars |
Max working temperature | 85 °C |
The operation is very simple. It tilts under fluid pressure, closing or opening contacts connected to a control cabinet to automate pumps or other controls.
Working angle | +/- 10° |
The permissible density of the substance | 0,95 to 1,05 |
Operating voltage | 12, 24, 48 VAC /VCC - 250 VAC /VCC 50/60 Hz |
Switch capacity | 16 (6) A (16 A resistive; 6 A inductive) |
Max pressure | 3,5 bars |
Max working temperature | 85 °C |
This ACS certified level float comes standard with an adjustable AISI 316L stainless steel counterweight. Thanks to its switching angle of +/- 25º, it is possible to achieve a very precise level adjustment. The ACS certified SOBA EP level controller can be used for high or low alarm.
Working angle | +/- 25° |
The permissible density of the substance | 0,80 to 1,10 |
Operating voltage | 12, 24, 48 VAC /VCC - 250 VAC /VCC 50/60 Hz |
Switch capacity | 16 (6) A (16 A resistive; 6 A inductive) |
Max pressure | 3,5 bars |
Max working temperature | 85 °C |
This ACS certified level float features a very large switching angle of 165º, eliminating the potential risks of jerking of pumps and motors, for example in potable water towers.
Working angle | +/- 25° |
The permissible density of the substance | 0,80 to 1,10 |
Operating voltage | 250 - 400 VAC /VdC 50/60 Hz |
Switch capacity | 20 (8) A (20 A resistive; 8 A inductive) |
Max pressure | 3,5 bars |
Max working temperature | 85 °C |
For example, in France, since December 24, 2006, according to the decision of May 29, 1997, any device and/or accessory that comes into contact with drinking water intended for human consumption must have an ACS certificate (attestation of sanitary compliance).
In case of non-compliance with the requirements, fines and withdrawal of products from the market, as well as other sanctions may be applied to the producer and importer of the product.
ATMI was the first manufacturer to develop switches and level controllers from special materials, all of which are ACS certified.
