The drive system is a very complex one. The very drive transmission structure (mechanical structure)
can have many solutions and each of them imposes a different method of calculations.

The selection of the servo engine can be divided into 7 steps:
  • Selecting the system structure
  • Define basic parameters for a movement profile
  • Mechanism kinetics analysis
  • Calculation of the maximum torque value Tmax
  • Calculation of engine average torque Trms
  • Engine selection
  • Test of the load inertia ratio to the engine's moment of inertia
